A pair of 19th-century English vegetable dishes from the renowned Spode factory, featuring the specialized "New Fayence" earthenware body. These covered dishes are decorated with intricate patterns typical of the era, showcasing the exceptional transfer-printing techniques that established Josiah Spode II as a leader in British ceramic production.

Circa 1805 - 1833, these original period pieces were crafted during the Golden Age of English ceramics when the Spode factory held the prestigious appointment of Potter to the Prince of Wales.

Earthenware with a refined glaze and a matching lid, each piece bearing the printed maker's mark within a floral cartouche. Rooted in the English Regency tradition, these dishes reflect the shift toward more decorative and ebullient forms that defined the early 19th-century table.
