An early 19th Century English oak silver chest or canteen, circa 1840. The piece has a wonderful provenance, from Chattsworth House. The label is Hunt and Roskell, late Storr and Mortimer, silver smiths to the Queen. This chest once held pieces of silver, that are now long gone.
