Circa 1820 Gilt Trumeau Mirror with Painting, France

A classic Louis XVI–design celadon ground trumeau mirror with an antique landscape painting of mother and child set in a bucolic scene. Fine gilded surrounds frame the painting and mirror. Made in France during the first part of the 19th century. A very good example of a classic piece. The photograph does not do the trumeau justice; the painted ground color is a true green celadon with a yellow hue, not blue.
