19th Century Northern European Mirror with Crowns

A large and decorative mirror made in Northern Europe during the 19th century. The mirror's design features a baron’s coronet framed by acanthus leaf scrolls on a tooled or “pounced” ground. This design is first seen in the late 17th century. This probably started out as a frame, but often paintings of old wealthy barons get separated from their beautiful frames.
