An 18th century Chinese export porcelain octagonal tureen, decorated in the vibrant famille rose style with intricate floral motifs. The specialized form and polychrome enamel glaze reflect the regulated trade between Chinese artists and European companies, which sought to blend Eastern craft with Western dining requirements.

Circa 1750, this original period piece was crafted during the height of the Dutch East India Company’s influence, when such porcelain became a defining symbol of wealth and taste.

Hard-paste porcelain with a greenish-white enamel glaze, featuring polychrome decorations in a rich palette of brick red, violet, and gold. Rooted in the Rococo tradition of the 18th century, this tureen embodies the cross-cultural exchange that defined the era's fascination with exotic materials and elegant, functional art.
