Regency Carved and Giltwood Mirror circa 1830

Convex bulls eye mirrors were popular in homes on both sides of the Atlantic from about 1790 to 1830, You will find them in most historic homes that are not rustic. This mirror has a well carved eagle and shaped apron. The gilt spheres are in good overall condition with some loss that we can repair. The rope twist carved and gilt border is a nice touch along with the chain the holds a gilt sphere in front of this piece. England, circa 1830 Gilding refreshed about 20 years ago.
