This is one of the more complicated pieces of mahogany furniture made first in England about 1760. This one dates to about 1900. The pierced legs, supports and gallery are a master’s work. The design has been called a silver table done in the Chinese Chippendale style. Originally an elaborate tea set was displayed and used on this piece. Today these rare pieces serve as side tables or coffee tables in formal interiors.
