Large Furniture

Over time a proper home required different and more refined pieces of furniture.  Armoires were a response to a room tax. By making a portable closet, they avoided this tax. Sideboards and buffets replaced court cupboards standing beautifully in the homes of aristocrats and the rapidly rising merchant class.  Dressers for their prized collection of clothing. Tables for dining and many other wonderful pieces.
