Pair of Japanese Porcelain Hibachi, Early 20th century
A very elegant pair of hand-painted porcelain Hibachi or Cache pots probable made by the Hirado factory. Atrributed by the whiteness of the porcelain, the quality of the painting and the destinctive lions. From a good collection and a very good dealer. The quality of these pieces make them appear to be newer than they are. The quality and detail involved in the hand painting is exceptional. They are the best examples I have seen in 30 years. The Hirado kiln made porcelain for the Imperial household. Very heavily potted and probably artist signed.
