Pair of French Painted Zinc Finials 18th century, later stands
A large pair of painted zinc urn or finials made in France during the 18th century. The octagonal bases were added about 80 years ago. From the estate of Frances Elkins recently liquidated when the heirs emptied the building were the collection had been stored for over 50 years. These impressive finials were made so that they could be used outside. The swag and boss do not continue on all four sides. Currently they are best viewed from the front or side.
