Italian Cherry Neoclassical Work Table circa 1830
A well designed Italian work or sewing table made of cherry about 1830. The top fitted with various storage compartment and two opposing drawers. The oval stretcher folds open offering an unexpected hiding and storage. The lyre or harp supports are a good detail. Some ebonized accents suggests this might be from the Northern part of the country. Some light cupping fairly standard for these pieces adds character and obvious authenticity.
